Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival
The Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival began in 2013, and involves eight Shires in the northern and south-eastern parts of the Great Southern region (Broomehill-Tambellup, Cranbrook, Gnowangerup, Jerramungup, Katanning, Kent, Kojonup and Woodanilling). In past years we have had a fantastic response from communities and individuals and were able to promote a festival with many local events and activities to the broader community. Approx. 5,000 people enjoyed the events and activities that our communities put forward and it is hoped this number will increase each year, with your support and participation.
This region-wide program adds value to the existing wildflower shows and associated exhibitions that are held throughout the Great Southern region in the spring of each year. The Bloom Festival integrates a range of events through a centralised coordinator who works with the existing community based organisations, relevant local governments and individual operators.
The Festival is an opportunity for communities to develop new or showcase existing small or large complementary Bloom Festival products activities and/or events for free. Great Southern Treasures provides overall Festival coordination, joint advertising and marketing of the Festival as a significant regional event in the Great Southern.
